TCS

The Company Store is over a century old premium bedding business with loyal customers that entered the e-commerce space in the recent years, and acquired by The Home Depot in 2017. There are several essential features of an e-commerce site, the Account section being one of them.

I owned production of the Account section.

Step 1: Gathered business requirements

I met with CS team to understand the customers’ needs, with leadership for their vision, and finally, with the product manager, to understand relevant projects already on the roadmap pipeline. The “Order History” section, a component within Account, was already in medium-fidelity wireframe stage and this project would sync up with its design.

Step 2: Competitive Analysis

Step 3: Gathered requirements & wrote brief

This project entailed defining the MVP (Minimum Viable Product) for the UX designers at Tomorrow Agency and directing the wireframe iterations to be delivered as an annotated prototype to development team.

Account Management Round 2

Leadership is very keen on implementing personalization in the future and wanted some research on how it could manifest in Account portal. I mapped out the ideas for Tomorrow Agency’s designers.

Amazon at the pinnacle of e-commerce was a source of inspiration for the Site Experience team at TCS, and while the personalization module was phased for future execution, the placeholder designs were made:

“Einstein AI’s” based carousels were passed forward to the next round of design, along with an ‘Order History’ carousel based on the Amazon’s app; retained for ease of use.
